Vă rugăm să ne anunțați prin RSVP dacă participați.

One day
after

On Sunday, we would like to do a small sightseeing roadtrip to get a taste of Romania. Of course, it would not start early in the morning. But it might take the whole afternoon.
--
Duminică, dorim să facem o mică excursie turistică pentru a vizita o bucățică de România. Desigur, nu vom pleca dimineața devreme. Dar s-ar putea să dureze toată după-masa.

Please let us know in RSVP if you are joining.
Vă rugăm să ne anunțați prin RSVP dacă participați.

Getting to Romania

If you are coming from abroad, we recommend flying into Cluj-Napoca or Sibiu Airports, with Cluj-Napoca having the most international flights.

Getting from Cluj-Napoca to the venue

Depending on request, we will organize a bus from Cluj-Napoca airport and back. Please add your choice in the RSVP.

Getting from the venue to church and back

We are organizing transportation from the venue (and where most of the accomodation is) to the church and back. Please add your choice in the RSVP.

If you prefer flexibility and want to explore on your own

You are able to rent a car from Cluj-Napoca. For 4 days, the cost is around 80€ with pick-up and drop-off from Cluj-Napoca airport.

Accomodation

CLOSE TO THE VENUE

We are organizing accomodation close to the venue from Friday to Monday morning. Please mention in your RSVP if you need accomodation.
The accomodations will be maximum 10 minutes by car from the venue.

IN ALBA-IULIA

If you prefer to stay in a bigger city than where the venue is located, Alba-Iulia (Diana's hometown) is 35 minutes away by car. We added a few options here, but feel free to search elsewhere.

Uber and Taxi

UBER

In Cluj-Napoca, Alba-Iulia and Cugir, you can use Uber. In Cluj-Napoca and Alba-Iulia you can use Bolt too.

TAXIS

We recommend using car sharing apps mentioned above, but if you prefer using a traditional taxi, you are able to do so by calling or writing on Whatsapp.

Visiting Transylvania

Dracula Castle

For sure you have heard of Dracula's Castle, and now you will be closer to it than ever.

Around 3h drive from the venue.

Peles Castle

Another famous (more beautiful) castle.

Around 3.5h drive from the venue.

Transalpina

Drive through the Apuseni Mountains Natural Park on the Transalpina mountain road to experience rural Romania and natural beauty

Retezat National Park

If you are into hiking, visit Romania's oldest national park, the stunning Retezat Mountains.

Around 1.5h drive from the venue.

Zarnesti Bear Sanctuary

Visit the biggest brown bear sanctuary in the world

Closed on Mondays. Around 3h drive from the venue, same area as the castles mentioned above.

Viscri Village

Travel back in time when visiting the old saxon village Viscri, with its fortified church dating to 1100, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Around 3h drive from the venue.

Visiting the south of Romania

Bucharest, Romania's capital

For a different experience, you can visit the south of Romania. Beautiful Bucharest can serve as a starting point, with its parks and impressive architectural buildings.

This is much further from the venue and it would be its own trip.

Danube Delta Biosphere Reserve

Danube Delta is a nature lover's dream. After a 2860km journey from the Black Forest in Germany, the Danube reaches the Black Sea creating Europe's largest remaining natural wetland. It's a safari by boat to spot rare birds, wild horses and fishing villages.

The Danube Delta is an amazing place, but requires a bit of planning. If interested, we would be happy to help.

Common questions

Can I come with my kids?

Definitely! Bringing your little ones is completely up to you. We’ll have a dedicated play area to keep kids entertained, so they’ll be more than welcome.

Don’t forget to include them in your RSVP so we can plan their menu.

Can I bring a plus one?

Of course! Just let us know in the RSVP.

What's the weather in Romania?

At the end of May and beginning of June, this area of Romania usually has warm, sunny days and cooler evenings — perfect for celebrating outdoors. Daytime temperatures are comfortable, with an average of 23° - but nights can get a little chilly, so we recommend bringing a light jacket or wrap. There’s a small chance of rain (around 25%), but overall it’s one of the best times of year to visit.

What should I wear?

We’d love for you to feel comfortable while still being neat and festive - maybe rustic boho chic. Since parts of the celebration will be outdoors, we recommend comfy shoes (you might want to skip sharp high heels) so you can move and dance with ease. Most importantly, wear something that lets you enjoy the day to the fullest!

Where to I reply to the invitation?

Please go to the RSVP section.
